During this course the participants will learn what is meant by the term relief print and receive a sound introduction to the process of wood engraving. They will see how to use different engraving tools to make marks of a different character and how to use these selectively in their work. They will learn how to print an engraving using a roller and ink and appreciate the quality that is looked for in papers when printing engravings.

In spring 2021, Northern Ireland Screenโs Digital Film Archive commissioned six artists from Seacourt Print Workshop in Bangor to make a creative response to With Heart and Hand, a UTV programme made in 1966 to commemorate the Battle of the Somme.
