Lino relief printing with multi plates involves carving a piece of linoleum to create printing blocks. Sharp tools of varying sizes are used to cut lines, shapes and marks into the block. The parts that are left after carving are raised, creating a relief, which transfers to paper when inked. This workshop will introduce a range of mark making techniques, multi plate linoprinting, and working with different coloured inks.

Peter brown will take you through the processes from transferring your image, carving your plate, inking and printing your blocks on our colombian press and registration of multi colour plates.

You will be guided and encouraged by Peter Brown an experienced artists printmaker who uses printmaking in his own art practice, in a professionally equipped workshop setting.
