Come and get your hands inky and your creativity flowing in this mid-week evening taster session workshop which will introduce you to the technique of lino print.

Lino is a traditional relief technique where the surface of a linoleum block is carved away to create marks or an image. Over the course of this taster workshop you will learn how to use lino tools to draw into the surface of your soft-cut lino plate before inking and printing your plate on our beautiful Colombian press. Once you master the process of carving your plate you can create amazing textures and marks and this short workshop is the perfect way to see if it is the technique for you.

Our come and try sessions offer an introduction to some of the key printmaking techniques offered and practiced here at Seacourt, and a glimpse into the processes involved in creating hand-made prints.

You will be guided and encouraged by experienced artists who use printmaking in their own art practice, in a professionally equipped workshop setting.
