Come and get your hands inky and your creativity flowing in this taster session workshop which will introduce you to the technique of drypoint etching. An ‘intaglio’ printmaking process; drypoint uses a sharp tool to scratch marks into the surface of a Perspex plate. A print is taken from ink which is held within these marks. A great introductory technique for those interested in Intaglio printmaking – perfect those who love to draw!

Penny Brewill, a master printmaker will take you through every step and share lots of tips and tricks for creating effects in your print.

Our come and try sessions offer an introduction to some of the key printmaking techniques offered and practiced here at Seacourt, and a glimpse into the processes involved in creating hand-made prints. You will be guided and encouraged by experienced artists who use printmaking in their own art practice, in a professionally equipped workshop setting.
