A piece of original artwork (photograph, drawing, collage) is reproduced onto transparent or translucent film or paper and then exposed onto a light sensitive plate. The emulsion on the plate hardens where it is exposed and the softer areas are eaten away and will become the recesses which will hold the ink. Participants should bring a photographic or hand drawn image from which their plate will be prepared.
