Seacourt Members’ Gallery is a space we make available to our members so that they can create a body of work and present this to the public. As we launch our Members’ Gallery online we are delighted to introduce Alice Wyatt, a Bangor born painter and printmaker.

‘Mystical Moons and Mythical Mermaids’ is a collection of collagraph prints inspired by landscape and in particular the beauty of Co Down and the island of Ireland.

Alice creates evocative and captivating scenes and she states “the beautiful textures and patterns of our many layered landscapes and timeless evocative seascapes, are the inspiration behind this body of work. Land, sea, myth and the moon are woven together, in a richly coloured tapestry of nature, and they tell a story of this mystical Irish landscape.”

These collagraph prints are made from a single plate and rich jewel tones are built up through layers of ink resulting in print full of intricate texture and amazing atmosphere.
